Tickets and wristbands
After purchasing your ticket online, you will receive an email containing your e-ticket. This is your access pass. After scanning the QR code on the ticket, it becomes unusable and is replaced by a wristband. With the wristband it is possible to leave the grounds and re-enter later. Haltpop closely monitors visitor density on the grounds and reserves the right not to re-admit visitors who have left the grounds. Visitors over 18 can get a special 18+ wristband at the bar. This means you don't have to show your ID for all purchases at the bar, but a single check is sufficient. Haltpop staff may ask visitors to show their wristband, ticket and/or identification at any time without stating reasons.

By car
Haltpop can also be easily reached by car. The organization requests all visitors who travel by car to the festival to carpool as much as possible and to respect the peace in the Zaanstreek: Drive respectfully and only park in designated areas. Haltpop also urges all motorists to be responsible: 100% designated driver = 0% alcohol! There is no special parking lot for Haltpop. There is also no reserved space for a so-called Kiss & Ride. However, a limited number of (free) parking spaces are available at the entrance to the festival. Always follow the instructions of the traffic controllers present in the parking area. When looking for places to park or drop off or pick up people, we request that you choose a safe, quiet spot and keep traffic flowing as smoothly as possible.
What does Haltpop do for the environment?
Haltpop considers the environment and sustainability very important. During the organization of the festival, the environment is considered on multiple levels and various measures are taken.
- A better environment starts with yourself! Haltpop encourages visitors to use the bike or public transport as much as possible. Less pollution at the festival starts when everyone leaves the car at home.
- In the production of Haltpop, the environment is taken into account. Haltpop uses electricity and water as minimally as possible. Our generators only run when absolutely necessary, and we use water minimally.
- Our catering partners prepare delicious vegetarian and vegan dishes - better for the environment because no meat (or other animal products) is used.
- Haltpop closely monitors the (expected) number of visitors to adjust the stock as much as possible and thus prevent waste.
- All waste generated at the festival is separated and offered for recycling as much as possible.
- Haltpop uses reusable hard plastic cups to reduce plastic waste.
- The visitor wristbands for Day 2 and combi tickets are made from recycled PET bottles.
- A number of volunteers work special environmental shifts, where the grounds are cleaned up all day and waste is properly processed. Give them a hand and return your cup neatly at the festival bar or the exit!
Cup return system
Haltpop works with a cup return system to reduce waste and encourage cup reuse.
- Upon entry you receive a wooden return token.
- You exchange this token at the bar for a cup or can.
- Drink finished? Then you bring your cup/can back to the bar and exchange it for a new cup/can.
- Have you thrown away your cup or can? Or lost your return token? Then you pay 1 euro for a new cup or can.
- If you have an empty cup in your hand and want to get rid of it, you can also exchange your cup at the bar for a return token.
